Rob Bishop (R-UT-01) Mr. Bishop uses his position as the Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands to protect access for motorized recreation on American’s public lands. He has been a long time supporter of health insurance legislation to close the loophole that allows claims to be denied for injuries sustained while riding motorcycles or off-highway vehicles. |

Rep. Dan Boren (D-OK-02) Mr. Boren is an outspoken advocate of motorized recreation from his seat on the House Natural Resources Committee. He supports the motorsports industry in their effort to codify their tax status into law so tracks can continue to make the necessary safety improvements and upgrades to maintain race schedules and fan enjoyment. |

Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX-26) Dr. Burgess sits on the prestigious Energy and Commerce Committee and three of its subcommittees: Health Care, Energy and Environment, and Oversight and Investigations. He is co-chair of the Congressional Motorcycle Safety Caucus. Burgess was an original cosponsor of the AMA’s health insurance anti-discrimination bill that has been referred to his committee. He also signed a letter in support of a new crash causation study for motorcyclists in the 108th Congress. |

Rep. John “Jimmy” Duncan, Jr. (R-TN-02) Mr. Duncan, Jr. is a strong advocate for motorcyclists as a member of the Congressional Motorcycle Safety Caucus. He signed a letter expressing the interest of the Congress in exposing exclusionary tactics to deny motorized access to public lands through administrative orders within the Department of the Interior. He is an advocate for youth-sized off-highway vehicles and cosponsored H.R. 1587 to exclude these vehicles from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) that effectively banned their availability. |

Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) Mr. Feingold was the lead Democrat sponsor in the Senate of the AMA’s health insurance anti-discrimination bill that passed the full Senate in 2004. He has worked to re-introduce that legislation again in 2005 and has been instrumental in advocating that the bill get signed into law. |

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ-08) Ms. Giffords is a motorcyclist and the co-chair of the Congressional Motorcycle Safety Caucus. She is an original cosponsor of the AMA’s health insurance anti-discrimination bill in the 110th Congress and has been part of a public service announcement regarding motorcycle safety. |

Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO-06) Mr. Graves sits on the important Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is the Ranking Member of the Committee on Small Business. He was a cosponsor of a letter to the Committee expressing the urgent need for a new crash causation study for motorcyclists in the 108th Congress. Graves was also an original cosponsor of the AMA’s health insurance anti-discrimination bill. |

Rep. Doc Hastings (R-WA-04) Mr. Hastings is one of the most consistent advocates of motorcycles on- and off-highway in Congress. He is a cosponsor of H.R. 1587 to exclude youth-model motorcycles and ATVs from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008 that effectively banned their availability. Hastings signed a letter to the Department of the Interior and sponsored two House Resolutions to expose administrative tactics that would block motorized recreation on hundreds of thousands of acres of public lands. He is a cosponsor of H.R. 1974 to make the current depreciation standard for permanent motorsports facilities law, among other efforts. Hastings is the Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee and uses his position to fight unnecessary closures to public lands. |

Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-SD-At Large) Ms. Herseth Sandlin is a strong supporter of motorcyclists and is co-chair for Administration of the Blue Dog Coalition. She was the lead co-signer of the Bipartisan Congressional letter to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to exclude youth-model motorcycles and ATVs from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). |

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) Mr. Inhofe is the Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, which has jurisdiction over the six-year transportation bill process. The Senator was instrumental in adding language in favor of a new crash causation study for motorcyclists in the SAFETY-LU. |

Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA) Mr. Isakson continues to support the interests of on- and off-highway motorcyclists. He is an advocate of returning youth motorized recreational vehicles to the market, supports closing the loophole that denies health insurance benefits for motorcycle related injuries and continually votes against unnecessary Wilderness designation legislation. He is a strong advocate on the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. |

Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO-05) Mr. Lamborn is a member of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus and is a friend to motorized recreation. He is a cosponsor of the House Resolution to uncover the administrative action within the Department of the Interior to block motorized access to public lands and fights wilderness legislation from the Committee on Natural Resources. He has cosponsored legislation to bring youth-model motorcycles and ATVs back to the market. |

Rep. Tom Petri (R-WI-06) Mr. Petri has long supported motorcyclists as an influential member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He was supportive of language in favor of a new crash causation study for motorcyclists within the House version of SAFETY-LU. Petri was an original cosponsor of the AMA’s health insurance anti-discrimination bill, as well as a lead advocate in favor of funding increases for motorized trails. |

Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-MT-At Large) Mr. Rehberg is the champion of youth motorized recreation vehicles in Congress. He is the original sponsor of H.R. 1587 that would exclude small displacement motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). Rehberg spearheaded an attempt to block funding to implement the CPSIA until youth-model vehicles were removed from the law. He is a member of the highly influential Appropriations Committee. |

Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI-05) Mr. Sensenbrenner is a staunch advocate of motorcyclists maintaining their personnel freedoms while being protected on America’s roadways. He penned H. Res. 1498 to reinforce the ban on federal lobbying on behalf of mandatory helmet laws and refocus the motorcycle safety strategy at the Department of Transportation on preventing crashes. |

John Shimkus (R-IL-19) Mr. Shimkus has been a staunch supporter of motorcyclists’ rights since his election in 1996, helping lead the fight to stop the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) from lobbying states on the subject of mandatory helmet use. In the 108th Congress, he signed the letter in support of a new crash causation study for motorcyclists, was an original cosponsor of the AMA’s health insurance anti-discrimination bill, and cosponsored the AMA-supported public lands’ access bill. |

Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) Ms. Stabenow uses her positions on the powerful Senate Budget Committee and Senate Finance Committee to help motorcyclists on the track and off-highway. She was a lead signatory on a letter to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) that urged the commissioners to grant a petition for exclusion regarding youth-model motorcycles and ATVs from overly restrictive lead standards. She is the lead sponsor for S. 1400, a bill that would provide equity to motorsports facilities and their tax status to allow track owners to continue making improvements and safety upgrades. |

Senator John Thune (R-SD) Mr. Thune consistently votes in favor of motorcyclist issues, both on- and off- highway. He signed his name to a letter asking the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to help return youth-model motorcycles and ATVs to the market and works for rider safety program funding on the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. |
